SAND FOR RIDING TRACKS

When working with horses, you want to avoid injury at all costs, both to yourself and to the horse. Then it is important to have the right sand substrate on riding tracks and in paddocks. The sand must be shock-absorbing and soft, while at the same time it must not slip away and cause slipping and stretching injuries. We at Borgårdsand have produced different fractions of our unique, round riding track sand and paddock sand, so that your surface will be as safe and fun to ride on as possible. Brogårdsand has supplied sand to several of Sweden’s largest equestrian facilities.

Riding track sand and paddock sand

Our sand is round and clean. Thanks to these properties, it does not become packed and hard after rain, but remains soft and shock-absorbing regardless of the weather conditions. The optimal grain distribution provides a suitable failure for the horse’s legs, and a good drainage so that the track does not become wet and difficult to ride. The sand is also completely free of sharp edges, which is good for the horse’s hooves.
