Sand that meets USGA requirements
We know that it is extremely important that the sand is adapted to the various requirements placed on a golf course. When constructing and improving courses, the Swedish Golf Association recommends using USGA-approved material as much as possible. Brogårdsand can offer the customer all of these USGA-approved grades, whether standard grades or special mixes for drainage, bunker construction and seedbed. An additional plus is that our sand lasts a long time, which gives a good overall economy.
Drainage and building sand – for increased plant vigor
Thanks to the round grain shape of our sand, the oxygen content in the plant bed increases, which favors grass growth. The round shape and the addition of peat also means that the ground’s ability to hold water becomes optimal, so that it is neither too dry nor too wet on the track.
Bunker sand – necessary evil of the highest quality
Even if you don’t want to get stuck in a bunker, it’s important that the bunker sand does what it’s supposed to, once you end up there. It should hold the ball so that it does not roll out into the periphery. Our bunker sand is well tested by both players and greenkeepers to directly catch the ball and stop its further progress. In addition, thanks to the specially developed grain distribution and the naturally round grain shape, the sand is self-draining and easy to restore. We can also produce special qualities according to your wishes.
Dress material – make it beautiful
We can also offer customers suit material. It is delivered according to your wishes, either with or without peat admixture. These dressing materials are suitable for dressing both fairways, tees and greens. The round shape makes it easy to brush the sand into the grass when dressing, resulting in minimal wear and tear on lawnmowers. For the improvement of greens and tees, we can also offer our green dressing that camouflages the damaged area until new grass grows up. By consistent and correct grooming, even problem greens can be gradually improved.
